Costume
in modern Turkish style from SIM Moda Evi in Istanbul. And
yes: the shoes are part of it, that's called "authentic"!

Another
trophy from my last shopping trip to Istanbul.
From
Gülseren in the Gran Basar
|
And
this is how Cairo dances today - always cover your belly button
nicely...
I bought this dress at Orienta
2000 from Isis Basar. |

A
fiery piece with lots of movement from Boutique
Eva in Zürich. |

Costumes
in Oriental Tribal Style with my group WeiberWirbel.
The
costume elemtents come from all over the Orient, from
Morocco to Sri Lanka.

You
might have noticed that I like being photographed... This is why
I also did a shooting for a project about "dance photography".
These are some of the results:

 |
I
like the left picture very much, it reminds me of a flower.
The
costume is one of my long time favourites from Gülseren.
|
 |
| And
somehow you just can't do without at least one costume from
BELLA, Istanbul... |
 |
And
here a picture with a very special feeling.
I
sewed the costume myself - and like lots of selfmade costumes
it's never really finished. I was inspired to do this by
orientalist Hollywood phantasies from the 20ies.

And
after working on the pictures with my Photoshop for some hours,
they look like this...
